October 2021, Autumn; a beautiful time for outdoors and nature; our new track "Nosturit Lentävät" uses modular synthesizers and field recordings of white marsh cranes during their bi-annual migrations.

“The Cranes Are Flying” (Russian: Летят журавли, translit. Letyat Zhuravli) is a masterpiece 1957 Soviet film which depicts a story of courage and love, against the backdrop of cruelty and the damage done to the Soviet psyche.

In 2009, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO declared a festival of White Cranes in its international list of memorable events, a celebration of solidarity and poetic writing about fallen soldiers from all over the world; based on the eponymous poem by R. Gamzatov penned following his visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and its monument to Sadako Sasaki who in 1955 Sasaki learnt of the legend of the one thousand origami cranes (千羽鶴, senbazuru) and the ancient Japanese legend that promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by the gods. What was her wish?

Is now Autumn 2021; beautiful time for outdoors and nature; in sky the cranes are flying once again, migration to elsewhere better places; together in balance, harmony, in peace; soon to return we hope. This track is dedicated to all cranes everywhere; past, present and future.
